My Own Worst Enemy

Description

NOTE: Not a photo-manipulation :)

One of six photographs taken for a uni assignments, I was supposed to take a set of 6 images inspiered by a poem. I couldn't find a poem that I could see myself taking pictures for so I wrote my own.
Poem: "You Don't want to see"

Taken using a long exposure (30 seconds) taken about 1oclock in the morning. The figure on the ground was flashed three times at the start of the shot with a small external flash to make her appear almost solid. To create the ominous shadowy figure, the model moved from her crouching position on the ground to a standing position and a larger flash was bounced off the wall to create the silhouette.

Image 1: Dead Flowers
Image 2: I like my Shoes
Image 3: Happy Sheets
Image 4: Tangled Spider
Image 6: Dark Road

Model: Tamsin
Silhouette: Tamsin

EDIT: So ... this is how I did it!!!
This is not 2 photographs and no manipulation!!!! I had the camera set at a really long exposure (so the shutter was open for a really long time ;) ). I had the model sit on the ground for a bit and for the rest of the exposure had her in a different position. I used an eternal flash bounced off the wall to create the silhouette of the model standing up. For example if you hold something up to the bright sun light all you see is a dark outline the shape - that's basically the theory I worked with, except using a flash
(I hope that explains it better!)
